Back in 2000 I set out to take a photograph everyday to document my life at the time aiming to document the activities and events that made up my year, both trivial and pivotal. Only recently have I revisited the images and edited them into a set of 366 images (one for each day - it was a leap year!).

Shot with a simple film compact camera (an Olympus Mju-II), using the cheapest colour print film I could find and very mainstream processing I shot images while walking, cycling, driving (ahem!); in my place of work, at home, on holiday; and often handed the camera to someone else so that I could be included in the picture. There are poorly exposed and blurred images, plus images of subject matter which with hindsight I might even question myself. Thankfully I kept notes so that there is some explanation as to why I took the image.

During this year I will be publishing one image a day on the Facebook MB Photography page corresponding to the same day back in 2000. Along with these images I will also publish a new image from this year captured with my iPhone (a similarly basic form of photography). As you will see my life has changed a lot in the last 11 years, but some things have remained constant.

Apologies for the quality of some of the Y2K images - but that wasn't the point.
