These two sets of images document the journey from the Brecon Beacons to Swansea (by day) and the return journey (by night).

Using the technique of automatic image capture whilst driving combined with long shutter speeds has resulted in unpredictable images. The daytime images differ from the night images by using the view out of the side window in contrast to the front view.

The images have been selected not only to contrast day and night, but also to illustrate the changing landscape during the journey from country, through motorway to the city.

Each row in each matrix represents one of these landscapes. Country, Motorway and City for the daytime images; and City, Motorway, Country for the return journey at night.
